10/25/2001 October 25, 2001 Caesars Palace will celebrate Thanksgiving in style with special holiday dinners in seven of its restaurants Thursday, Nov. 22.
The Palatium will serve a lavish holiday champagne brunch buffet from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., priced at $19.99 per person plus tax (half-price for children under 12 years). Champagne and non-alcoholic beverages are included. Breakfast specialties will be offered until 3:30 p.m.
Cafe Lago will serve a special holiday buffet and turkey dinner from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. in addition to its regular 24-hour menu. The dinner will include traditional roasted turkey with pecan sage dressing, mashed potatoes, candied yams, glazed carrots, green beans, and orange cranberry relish, priced at $14.99. Cafe Lago's holiday buffet is priced at $19.99 per person (half-price for children under 12 years). The Cafe Lago breakfast buffet is served from 7 to 11 a.m., priced at $13.99. Prices do not include tax.
La Piazza Food Court will offer its regular menus as well as a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at its American station, priced at $8.99 per person, noon to 10 p.m. Beverages and tax are not included. The dinner will include hand-carved roasted turkey breast with traditional dressing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, spiced candied yams and natural gravy. The restaurant is open from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
The resort's gourmet restaurants also are offering Thanksgiving holiday dinners. 8-0-8 will serve its holiday feast from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. in addition to its menu of exquisite Euro-pacific cuisine featuring fresh seafood. The dinner will include roasted turkey breast, dark meat "lau lau," chestnut dressing and gooseberry sauce, priced at $28 per person, plus tax.
In addition to its popular Italian menu, Terrazza will offer a special prix-fixe turkey dinner, served 5:30 to 10:30 p.m., priced at $45, plus tax. The meal includes fresh Italian-style tortellini with turkey, served in chicken broth and truffle oil; fresh baby friss? with shaved apple and goat cheese in a pine nut and oregano dressing; roasted turkey stuffed with fresh herbs, beef and veal in a chestnut and barolo wine sauce; and Cassata di Zucca-a homemade squash sponge cake with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce-for dessert.
Neros will offer a prix fixe special Thanksgiving turkey dinner in addition to its fine dining steak and seafood menu from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. The Thanksgiving special, which begins with butternut squash soup and a wild greens salad with pears and roasted peppers, followed by roasted Vermont turkey with sausage sage dressing, roasted yams, Yukon mashed potatoes, green beans, fresh cranberry sauce, and pumpkin cognac cr?me caramel for dessert, is priced at $42 per person, plus tax.
The Caesars Palace dinner show, Caesars Magical Empire, will provide a magical evening. Guests will enjoy a sumptuous three-course feast in one of 10 dining chambers, hosted by a spell-casting wizard. The choice of entr?es for the evening will include a traditional turkey dinner with sage dressing, broiled salmon in saffron beurre blanc, tenderloin of beef in a port-cracked peppercorn sauce or orecchiette pasta with crimini mushrooms, spinach, roasted red peppers, asparagus, baby carrots and cilantro oil. The Grotto Bar features entertainment by an invisible pianist (who plays guests' requests) and two wisecracking skeletons. The Sultan's Palace theatre will feature Joaquin Ayala's stage illusions as well as the antics of Sultan Rajha. The opulent Secret Pagoda theatre will offer close-up prestidigitation, by either Scott Alexander (early seatings) or Daryl (later seatings), in an intimate 72-seat setting. Dinner seatings begin at 4:30 p.m., priced at $75.50, including dinner, shows, tax and gratuity. Children between 5 and 10 years of age are charged half-price. Caesars Magical Empire welcomes visitors for a sneak preview of the subterranean adventure with free tours every half-hour from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday (dark Sunday and Monday). Sneak-preview visitors who purchase tickets for the dining and magical entertainment experience are offered a $10 discount for early (4:30 - 5:20 p.m.) dinner seatings. Caesars Palace venues offering Far Eastern fare also will be open Thanksgiving. The Empress Court will serve authentic Hong Kong cuisine from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Hyakumi Japanese Restaurant, featuring Teppan Yaki-style cooking and ? la carte fine dining, and Hyakumi Sushi Bar, featuring sushi, sashimi, and Japanese sake, wines and beers, will serve from their menus from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Hyakumi also offers sushi and an Asian noodle kitchen menu for lunch, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., on the terrace.
