11/6/2000 November 06, 2000 Caesars Palace will celebrate Thanksgiving in style with special holiday dinners in seven of its restaurants.
The Palatium (pronounced puh-LAY-shum) will serve a lavish holiday champagne brunch buffet from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. at $19.99 per person plus tax. Children under 12 years are charged half-price. Champagne and non-alcoholic beverages are included.
The dinner buffet will offer assorted relishes and crudit?s; a wide variety of salads presented in large squash and pumpkins; Nova Scotia smoked salmon with tomatoes, onions, capers; chilled casino shrimp, creamy herring; roasted turkey breast with all the trimmings; roasted prime rib au jus; sugar-glazed, baked bone-in ham; roasted pork loin with cider jus li? and poached apples; chicken Cordon Bleu; All-American chicken; New York steak teriyaki; pacific salmon Pomodoro vin blanc; made-to-order pasta with sauces; a variety of fresh vegetables; assorted fresh breads, rolls; and a selection of holiday desserts in addition to bananas Foster and frozen yogurt with a variety of toppings.
From 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., The Palatium buffet also will feature eggs and omelets made to order, apple pancakes, eggs Benedict, bread pudding, blueberry blintzes, scrambled eggs, hash brown potatoes, bacon, sausage links, cold cereals and yogurt.
Cafe Lago will serve a special holiday dinner buffet and a special turkey dinner in addition to its regular 24-hour menu from noon to 11 p.m. The dinner will include butternut squash soup, herb-roasted turkey breast with sage stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, roasted corn cakes, whipped sweet potatoes and orange cranberry compote. With a delicious dessert of warm pumpkin tarte with cr?me Chantilly, the price will be $24.99. Cafe Lago's lunch/dinner holiday buffet is priced at $19.99 per person, with children under 12 years charged half-price. Prices do not include tax.
The buffet will offer iced shrimp with cocktail sauce and lemons, butternut squash soup, hearty chicken soup, a selection of fresh salads and freshly baked breads, roasted turkey, herb-crusted leg of lamb, pepper-crusted beef tenderloin, grilled salmon with fennel and orange relish, fettucine Alfredo, moo goo gai pan, steamed rice, house chow mein, scalloped corn casserole, glazed carrots, garlic saut?ed green beans, baked candied yams, whipped sweet potatoes, sage-and-baked-apple stuffing, gratin Dauphinoise and mashed potatoes. A selection of holiday pies, cakes, mini pastries, apple bread pudding and peach cobbler for dessert will top off the meal.
La Piazza Food Court will offer a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at its American station, priced at $7.99, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Beverages and tax are not included. The dinner will include roasted turkey breast with traditional dressing, cranberry sauce, fresh steamed vegetables, and choices of yams or mashed potatoes and gravy, and biscuit or cornbread.
The new 8-0-8 restaurant will serve a prix-fixe holiday special dinner in addition to its new menu of exquisite Euro-pacific cuisine featuring fresh seafood, 6 to 11 p.m. The dinner will include roasted turkey breast, dark meat "lau lau," chestnut dressing and gooseberry sauce (priced at $26).
In addition to its popular Italian menu, Terrazza with offer a prix-fixe Thanksgiving special traditional turkey five-course dinner for lunch and dinner, priced at $55 for dinner and $45 at lunch. The meal includes fresh Italian-style tortellini with turkey, served in chicken broth and truffle oil; fresh ravioli with winter squash in light butter, wine and fresh sage; endive salad with red onions, bell peppers, tomatoes and fresh orange slices with olive oil and wine vinegar; roasted stuffed turkey with fresh herbs, beef, veal and vegetables in light chestnut and barolo wine; and Tiramisu alla Toscana--a traditional creamy dessert from Tuscany with mixed berries and strawberry sauce. Terrazza is open for lunch 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m., and for dinner 5:30 to 11 p.m.
Neros will offer a special Thanksgiving turkey dinner in addition to its regular gourmet steak and seafood menu from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. The Thanksgiving special, which includes roasted Vermont turkey with sausage-and-sage dressing, sweet roasted yams, parsnips, green beans and fresh cranberry sauce, is priced at $29.
Caesars Magical Empire will offer mystery, fine dining, illusions and awe-inspiring surroundings to put magic into Thanksgiving evening. Guests will enjoy a sumptuous three-course feast in one of 10 dining chambers of the gods, hosted by a spell-casting wizard. The choice of entr?es for the evening will include a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings as well as salmon and beef. After dinner, visitors are free to explore the many dazzling attractions. The Grotto Bar features entertainment by an invisible pianist (who plays guests' requests) and two wise-cracking skeletons. The two live-entertainment theaters emphasize audience participation. The Secret Pagoda will feature masters of close-up prestidigitation Alain Nu and Steve Dacri in an intimate 72-seat setting. The opulent Sultan's Palace will be the stage for Scott Alexander's stage illusions as well as the antics of Sultan Ra Ha. Caesars Magical Empire is open Tuesday through Saturday for dinner seatings, starting at 4:30 p.m. (closed Sunday and Monday), priced at $75.50. Children between 5 and 10 years of age are charged half-price. Caesars Magical Empire welcomes visitors for a sneak preview of the subterranean adventure with free tours every half-hour from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday (dark Sunday and Monday). Sneak-preview visitors who purchase tickets for the dining and magical entertainment experience are offered a $10 discount for early (4:30 - 5:20 p.m.) dinner seatings. The Empress Court, serving exotic Chinese cuisine from 6 to 10:30 p.m., Hyakumi Japanese Restaurant, featuring Teppan Yaki-style cooking and ? la carte fine dining from 6 to 11 p.m.; and Hyakumi Sushi Bar, featuring sushi, sashimi, and Japanese sake, wines and beers from 6 to 11 p.m., all will serve from their regular menus.
