| A bunch of frogs got together to compete to who could reach the top of the high tower first. A crowd gathered to watch even though none of them believed that the frogs could actually accomplish the task. As the race began, they began yelling, "It's too difficult! They'll never reach the top." Or "Not a chance... the tower is too high!" One by one the frogs fell off, except those who climbed higher and higher. The crowd kept on yelling: "It's too difficult. Nobody is going to make it!" More frogs became tired and gave up. But one kept going higher and higher; he was not giving up. Eventually, he was the only one left and he won the race. The others wanted to know how he had managed to do succeed when they had failed. When asked? The frog didn't answer. Turned out that his secret was that he was deaf! Moral: Don't listen to people who are negative and pessimistic! Always be aware of the power of words, as everyting you hear and read will interfere with your actions! Thus, Always stay POSITIVE! (NYSE: PPE) today announced that Kim Sinatra has been named senior vice president and deputy general counsel, effective upon receipt of all required regulatory approvals. The announcement was made by Thomas E. Gallagher, president and chief executive officer of the company, which owns, operates or has an interest in 29 gaming resorts under the Caesars, Bally?s, Flamingo, Paris, Grand Casinos and Hilton brands. Sinatra will oversee the company?s day-to-day legal matters, including legal issues relating to the development of a casino/resort complex in Sullivan County, N.Y., in conjunction with the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe. She will split her time between the company?s corporate headquarters in Las Vegas and its Chatham, NJ, office. She will report to Gallagher and the company?s general counsel, Clive Cummis. Sinatra joins Park Place Entertainment from The Griffin Group, where she served as executive vice president and general counsel for the closely held gaming, hotel and entertainment company owned by entertainer Merv Griffin. She served as chief legal counsel for the investment holding company, and also supervised legal, human resources and construction/development. ?I have worked with Kim for many years, beginning in New York in the late-1980s. She has extensive experience in real estate, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, finance and other areas important to Park Place?s continued growth,? Gallagher said. ?She has been deeply involved as our outside counsel in our project with the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe for development of a major resort-casino in Sullivan County, N.Y.
