(LAS VEGAS)- Madonna, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz and Harrison Ford have all made headlines with their visits to the international hit DE LA GUARDA that will soon make its West Coast Premiere at the Rio Resort, Las Vegas. The show that literally falls from the sky is about to break new ground for the city of neon and sequined-clad showgirl entertainment with a grand opening slated for August 2000

The highly-acclairned spectacle explodes through the fourth wall, bursts through the ceiling and shatters theatrical convention, astonishing audiences with an inspiring display that combines elements of carnival, rave, concert and theater. There are no seats at DE LA GUARDA; the show envelops you with both its beauty and frenetic energy.

Producers Kevin McCollum, Jeffrey Seller, David Binder, Arielle Tepper and Daryl Roth present DE LA GUARDA, the internationally acclaimed, high-flying hit. Members of the Buenos Aires born DE LA GUARDA write, compose design perform, choreograph and direct the entire show. DE LA GUARDA was created by Pichon Baidinu and Diqui James and composed by Gaby Kerpel. The show landed in New York in 1998 and has since played to sold-out houses and unanimous critical acclaim. In May 1999, the show opened to raves in London at the Roundhouse Theatre. Beginning in August, DE LA GUARDA can be seen both at the Rio All-Suite Casino Resort in Las Vegas and in the new DE LA GUARDA Theatre and in New York, where it continues to play at the Daryl Roth Theatre.

Kevin McCollum and Jeffrey Seller are producers of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Broadway musical RENT. David Binder is the original producer of Hartwig and the Angry Inch. Arielfe Tepper produced John Leguizamo's FREAK and the Broadway muisical production of James Joyce's The Dead, Daryl Roth's producing credits include the Pulitzer Prize-winning plays Three Tall Women, How I Learned to Drive and Wit.
