9/16/2000 Dubai - September 16, 2000 (Press Release Network): Following the opening of a new 154-room Tower today, Le Meridien Jumeira Beach hotel will also be relaunched as Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa next month. The new designation denotes superior tiers of excellence measured by building design, interiors, and facilities and upgraded service, and is currently bestowed on just nine other Le Meridien hotels worldwide. These are located in Bahrain and Morocco, as well as Canada, Poland, Thailand and India, while a new Le Royal Meridien Nile Tower will open this winter in Cairo. As well as additional rooms, new facilities at Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa include three restaurants, tea lounge and luxury shopping arcade, a 15th floor function suite and the Caracalla Spa and Health Club. The Tower at Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa is a unique concept devised by management locally to offer deluxe amenities and dedicated services to guests seeking a more personalised experience. "With 500 rooms and three distinct products suitable for leisure travellers, corporate guests and incentive groups, Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa is now able to meet every requirement," said sales and marketing director, Siggi von Brandt. "We are delighted to be the first Le Royal Meridien hotel in the United Arab Emirates, a distinction which will further enhance the reputation of the region as an upscale destination for travellers worldwide." The hotel is also launchpad for new Le Meridien uniforms which debut today at the Dubai resort, after which they will be rolled out worldwide during the next year in two distinct styles one for resorts and one for city hotels.
