11/10/2000 November 10, 2000 LAS VEGAS - The Las Vegas Hilton will be transformed into the country music capital of the world during the National Finals Rodeo November 30 - December 9 as it hosts Jeff Foxworthy, Brooks and Dunn and Clint Black in the Theater.
Foxworthy will usher in the start of the NFR at the Hilton November 30 - December 3 with one show each night at 10:30 p.m. Tickets are available for $45, $55 and $65. Brooks and Dunn will take to the stage December 4-6 for one show each night at 10:30 p.m. Tickets are available for $45, $55 and $65. Jeff Foxworthy gave up a successful career in management with IBM only to release the top-selling comedy album of all-time. You Might be a Redneck ifwas release in 1994 and achieved triple platinum status, selling more than three million copies. Brooks and Dunn started out as solo artists until a Nashville producer brought the two together to write songs. They came up with "Brand New Man" and, as they worked together more and became friends, they formed the duo Brooks and Dunn.
Their high-energy debut album sold three million copies and yielded four chart-topping country singles; one of them, the line-dancing "Boot Scootin' Boogie," was also a crossover pop hit.
They soon established themselves as country music's premier duo and have won numerous awards including the Country Music Association's (CMA) coveted Duo of the Year, Best Vocal Duo and Entertainer of the Year. During his decade-long reign as one of country music's most consistent chart kings, Clint Black has established a sterling reputation as a song poet, singer and showman: D'lectrified, his stunning new album on the RCA label, presents the widely-popular entertainer in entirely new roles.
The album is the first Black has produced on his own and is a collection of cover songs in addition to original works. Black teamed up with the likes of Kenny Loggins, Bruce Hornsby, Steve Wariner, Edgar Winter and Waylon Jennings. He also recorded a duet with wife Lisa Hartman-Black. The Grammy winning Black has recorded more than two dozen top-10 hits, 19 of them reaching number one.
